Co najmniej 2,2 tys. osób zginęło i ok. 3,6 tys. odniosło obrażenia wskutek trzęsienia ziemi, do którego doszło w niedzielę we wschodnim Afganistanie – przekazał w czwartek zastępca rzecznika rządu w Kabulu Hamdullah Fitrat. Nadal trwają działania poszukiwawczo-ratunkowe.
Wcześniej informowano o ponad 1,1 tys. zabitych i ok. 3,2 tys. rannych.
Do trzęsienia ziemi o magnitudzie 6, które spustoszyło wschodni Afganistan w pobliżu granicy z Pakistanem, doszło w niedzielę przed północą.
